Boom.....Engaged!!!

On October 13, 2012 it finally happened!! I got engaged!! After 1 year, 1 month and 13 days since I met Brian Douglas Washburn, he asked me to be his wife!!! Here is the story of how he proposed. Some background first: On our second date Brian wanted to test and see how much I liked the outdoors. He tried to take me on a hike called “The Living Room” but we got lost and decided to do an easier hike to find, “Donut Falls.” After the hike we stopped at IHOP for some breakfast food, and I insisted on paying for it. Well, that did the trick! I won Brian over. This was the date that we both decided that there was something special there. So on Saturday, October 13 he told me he wanted to see the fall colors, so he took me back up to Donut Falls. He didn’t seem nervous at all (which I thought he would be), so I didn’t expect anything. Once we got to the top he took me to a secluded place, got down on one knee, read me a poem he had written for me, and asked me to marry him. It was so cute! It was such a perfect day!

Now, on March 21, 2013, we will be together forever!
