A Food Fight, Midnight Premier, and Cement Canoes!

It seems like no matter what the situation is, Noel and I always seem to make the most of it. Many of you are not aware of this, but last Thursday was a big deal. "Fast and Furious" finally came to theaters!!! Those racing movies are a semi-guilty pleasure for me. I love it and I can't help it. Noel and I decided to go to the midnight premier of it, because premiers are also so much fun. So to start the night off we hit up Applebees, because I was craving a chicken caesar salad. As I'm sitting there, minding my own business, Noel decided to start a food fight with me and threw her rice at my face. Well...being the good kid I was, I've never been in a food fight...ever, but I wasn't going to sit there and get schooled by Noel. So I loaded a crouton onto my fork and flung it at Noel's head. Well...long story short...I hit some random lady in the face with it. My bad. It was so hilarious at the time, and made for a good start to the evening. After Applebees the fun really started. We ended up going to the premier with a few of our guy friends, which it is always better to have the men around. The movie was awesome, the company was awesome and the night was awesome.

Noel brought Cold Stone into Applebees...she is THAT cool

We found these random guys just digging into half gallons of ice cream while waiting in line at the movies...of course Noel had to get a picture with him. Notice the guy with the spoon on the left...hilarious

The next day was a very lazy day. I slept in, because the movie didn't get out until after 2. I woke up the next morning with what I think a hangover would feel like. It must have been from a combination of a late night with lots of sugar. Man, I just bummed around all day. In the afternoon, Noel and I headed down to the lake to watch a CEMENT CANOE race. I know...crazy. I guess all the civil engineering programs around make cement canoes and race them. It happened to be WAY too windy to try and race them, but they did a swamp test, which means they were just testing to make sure it was all made out of cement. It was a fun little venture, but I was bummed that I didn't get to see people race those suckers.

The BYU canoe going into the water. I'm not sure why it is green....

Classic picture: I'm FREEZING and Noel (who is taking the picture) isn't even looking at the camera. haha I love it!

With my coat and blanket, the cold wasn't that bad. The problem was that I was wearing capris and flip flops and my blanket was too small...I thought my legs and feet were going to fall off. I didn't really want that, so I found a way to warm them up a little bit. Take THAT mother nature

We hope that the Engineers from Utah State won the canoe contest. I want to get you a t-shirt that says, "My future husband is a graduate student at USU." to wear on campus. If I made you one would you wear it under your gown at graduation? Happy Easter John and Deb
