Sports Fever

Since Noel and I live in Salt Lake, we have been taking advantage of the sports events that happen in this crazy little town. Since Noel is from LA and a lifelong Lakers fan and I claim LA as a second home, we decided to hit up Game 4 of the Play-offs. The Lakers were playing the Jazz and were up 3 games to zero. If LA won this game they would continue on to try for Conference Champions! What an amazingly awesome game to go to! Noel found the tickets and I found the cute Lakers jerseys to wear. What kind of fans would we be if we didn't dress in the proper clothing for the game. Well I found the jerseys online and had the shipped so they would get to me by game day. Well game day was here and I was nervous about our special purple and gold package arriving and having no one home to sign for it. So as I left the apartment for work I left a note on the door for the UPS man to just leave the package and signed the bottom. Being that I have just moved into a new place, I didn't have any tape...of any kind. The only sticky thing I could find was a band aid...so I used it to stick my note to the door. Well I got home from work and the package hadn't arrived yet. Noel and I waiting around for a few hours to see if it would come before we went to the gym. Well as we are leaving for the gym we see the UPS truck in our complex. So we flip a U-turn and book it back to the apartment. Noel met the UPS man on the stairs and had this funny conversation,
Noel: I've been waiting for you ALL day!
UPS man: I know....and I haven't been hurrying.
That sassy delivery man....but at least we got our jerseys!! We decided to take the TRAX down to the Energy Solutions Arena (Delta Center) so we wouldn't have to worry about traffic and parking. There were a lot of people on the train that were headed to the game and there were a lot of Lakers fans too. So it was funny to listen to everyone tease back and forth about the upcoming game.

My special little note to the UPS man

Noel made purple mocktails...of course...to toast the game!

All of us on the TRAX

We found a drunk guy with a hilarious shirt..."Jesus plays for the Lakers."

Noel, me and the super nice usher guy

Love this lady

In addition to the Lakers game, which they of course won, Noel and I went to a Major League Soccer game to see the Real Salt Lake play. Turns out that people are HARDCORE about this soccer team. They won the MLS championship last year, so they are good. So we went to a game with some friends and just had a blast! All the fans are so much fun. After EVERY goal people throw streamers and confetti and run around like they just won the world cup. It was so awesome. Noel and I decided that we are going to become hardcore fans too.

Noel, Kyna, and Me at the game

The gang with Leo (who I will forever call Xango, because of a blond moment when I thought that was his name....)

Hilarious sign making fun of the other team, "Creamsicles Nom Nom Nom Nom"
