St. George
It's triathlon season!! At the end of May Brian and I went down to St. George for the first tri of the season!! We stayed in his dad's motor home, so it was a very comfortable trip. This was my first time spending any significant amount of time in St. George, so we did a little bit of hiking while we were down there
The Swim Course
Transition
Finishing!!
Brian's favorite pose
After the race we took a little stroll/hike. I'm pretty sure I saw a mountain lion, but Brian says it was a squirrell....I'm pretty sure I was right.
We found some friends playing in a little pool to take a picture of us...Brian wanted me to climb over the rock in the background.
I was scared.....if I fell then I would fall into a murky, gross pool...and I definitely could NOT see the bottom.
But then I did it!!!
We were trying to take a picture by setting the self timer...most pictures came out like this.
But we did manage to get one good one with the self timer.
I almost died when I saw the size of this bug....disgusting
As we were leaving St. George on Sunday, we decided to take a detour and go see Snow Canyon and the Mormon Meadow Massacre....we didn't realize it was two hours out of the way...but it was still fun.
We climbed to the top of this fun rock and had some foreigners take our picture. They were really excited about all the deseret...I don't understand why
We found these weird "lava caves." They use to be tunnels under the ground where the lava flowed, but have since collapsed down. Kind of cool.
This was my first time ever spending more than an hour in St. George. It was really fun!! It was hot and dry, but I guess it held its own kind of beauty...
