Welcome to the ACC

Pitt had their first football game of the season at Heinz Field on Labor Day. Brian and I got decked out in our Pitt gear and headed to the game. Of course, it was pouring rain when we got to the stadium, but it cleared up just enough for the game to start. Heinz Field is an awesome stadium - the football scene in The Dark Knight Rises was filmed in that stadium. Pitt did great for the first 5 minutes or so. They scored a touchdown and everything!!! The rest of the game...well...we won't talk about that. At least we had a great time!

I don't know if Pitt was celebrating being in the ACC or what, but they had fireworks and everything when the team ran out onto the field.

Ketchup bottles!!!! I wouldn't be a Barrand if I didn't get excited about giant ketchup bottles. Whenever Pitt got in the red zone, the bottles would light up, tip over and "pour' ketchup down to fill the screen. Brian thought I was ridiculous for getting so excited about the light up ketchup bottles, but I thought they were awesome!!
