Memorial Day Weekend!!

There is nothing better than a nice long three day weekend! We wanted to take full advantage of the nice weather, so we spent some time outdoors exploring!!  We spent most of our time exploring the Laurel Highlands, which is about 90 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. We started the weekend off with some camping! Brian is a super great boy scout and made us an awesome fire!

We roasted marshmallows! Cause it isn't really camping without smores!

Brian has a cool lantern that doesn't need batteries if it is cranked up. He spent a good amount of time getting the lantern cranked up.

Playing with lighter fluid....boys will be boys

This boy loves donuts....like a lot

Woke up. Started the fire to warm up. Went back to sleep

The little stream behind Brian is a natural water slide! People were just sliding down it like it wasn't a big deal! I've never seen a natural water slide before!

Hanging out by the natural water slide waiting for someone to slide down it

The waterfalls at Ohiopyle State Park. So beautiful.

Part of the reason that we went camping around the Laurel Highlands is because of the Laurel Caverns. The Laurel Caverns are these HUGE caves that you can take a tour though. They haven't even explored all of the caverns!
The first look at the caverns

This was our tour guide, aka the cutest old man on the planet! He is like 80-something and hilarious.  He was always telling jokes! At the beginning of the tour he urged us to make sure we kept up with him.  I thought that was hilarious cause he is so old, but he was right! The group had a hard time keeping up with him! He started half his sentences with "Oh gee!" He was adorable.

The left side of this beam is actually higher up than the right side!! Our guide rolled a ping pong ball up toward the left so we could see it roll back down to the right.  MIND BLOWN

 Cute tour guide!!
These lights were noise activated!! So cool

As you can see, the Laurel Caverns are pretty dang cool.

When we got home from camping we wanted to go see the new X-Men movie!! When we showed up the movie people made us wait in line......this was the line.....it was just us....

The next day we wanted to spend more time outdoors, so we went golfing!  I'm still a beginner, like I can't even hit the ball every time, but I'm getting better! Brian has always been pretty good at golf, and we really enjoy spending the time together,

Uh.... I'm not sure that is how it's done...
