Because of my school schedule we weren't able to go to Toronto on our anniversary, but we did have a little celebration on our anniversary at home! The 2nd anniversary is the cotton anniversary and so we got new shoes! They weren't quite cotton, but close enough!
Headed into Canada!!! It was snowing....typical Canada
Once we crossed over into Canada we decided to make a quick stop at Niagara Falls! When we went there in the summer I didn't have my passport yet, and we wanted to see the falls from the Canadian side. Plus, it was incredible to see the falls when they were partially frozen.
Found this little guy randomly! Of course I had to take a picture with him
Niagara Falls!! The American Falls are off to the left. And in the distant background on the left is where we were on the American side. So you can see why the Canadian side is so much better.
Toronto!!!
We walked to dinner after we checked into our hotel and stumbled across this street. It is Toronto's version of Times Square. Much smaller, but it was still really cool. There was also an entire band playing on the street, which made the experience that much better
Toronto from the roof of our hotel
There were a few hot tubs on the roof of our hotel and a big screen TV showing hockey (typical), but it was so cold that we could barely stand to even be in the hot tub!
Brian was so excited about the Hockey Hall of Fame! It was so cute. So we had to
stop by and see it
Brian posing with Sidney Crosby! Apparently he is the greatest player in the world AND he plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins!
Uh.... found these weird statues....
We took a ferry through the icy lake to Ward's Island. It was really really cold, but the view of the city was amazing!
Brian and Toronto!!
Rocking the selfie stick to get Toronto in the background
Our real anniversary celebration was at the top of the CN tower! The CN tower is the tallest building in North America and Brian got us a reservation for the restaurant! The restaurant spins so we were able to get a view of the entire city! It was a really nice restaurant and the food was amazing!
Ward's Island - were we took the ferry
My dinner! Steak and potatoes (best potatoes I've ever had!)
Brian's dinner - Lamb
Dessert! When in Canada you have to get the maple syrup sampler!
Brian did such a great job planning our trip! It was such a nice and relaxing trip to a new city!
