Vacation Time

Before packing up and moving across the country to Pittsburgh Brian and I decided that we wanted to spend some time with our families. We headed up to Oregon and stopped in Boise as well. A lot of fun was had - here are some pictures of our vacation time.


While in Boise we all went to the Snake River Stampede! The boys got all dressed up in their cowboy gear.

Maveric was so cute with his little cowboy boots. He insisted on wearing them even though they were like 3 sizes too big, and then after the rodeo he wouldn't take them off!

Before the actually rodeo they had some kids doing events. This is mutton bustin, aka the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

After spending a few days in Boise we headed up to Brian's cabin in Enterprise Oregon for some relaxation time.

Brian took me on my very first backpacking trip! We went up to Chimney Lake. It says it was 5 miles, but that was 5 miles straight up with 30 lbs packs on...

I found a frog! And I found it without my glasses on. It was huge and gross.

Doug packed a lot in his pack, so at one point Brian had to carry it for him, in addition to his own pack.

After a not so great nights sleep, we all decided to take a little hike up the mountain.

Finally made it to the end. I was so tired and sore

BUT I MADE IT!!

When we got home from our backpacking trip, this giant guy was waiting for us. It was so big that Brian was a little afraid to kill it, but killed this one plus TWO more!

I finally learned to golf!

On our way home from Oregon we stopped by Boise again to play with my family.

While in Boise we all went to the water park. About lunch time there was a crazy bad accident.

Now Matt was bored, so he decided to make a fire to burn all the weeds.

Clearly the boys were WAY into the fire. They had so much fun pulling weeds!!







After hanging out with the family I had to say goodbye and head back to Utah. The kids were so confused on why I was crying. I love all of my family, so it was hard to say goodbye.

Next stop - Pittsburgh
