In October, Doug took a nice long road trip out to Pittsburgh to visit us!! One of the main things he wanted to do while out here was to visit the Church sites in Kirtland, Ohio. So that is exactly what we did.
Our first stop in Kirtland was to the Temple. Visiting in October was a great idea, the grounds were so colorful and beautiful!
Our second stop was to Kirtland LDS Visitor Center. They had some original building on site that were important in Church history, and some replicas of other buildings and homes. We toured the Newel K. Whitney Store and home, where Joseph Smith spent a lot of time.

Since Doug drove his RV out to Pittsburgh, he brought Kitty with him!!! I love that cat. He came to snuggle me while I was sleeping, so clearly he love me too!
