Suzanne Marie Washburn: The End Is Near

Brian's time in Pittsburgh is quickly coming to an end. We've tried to spend as much time as my schedule would allow outside, taking it all in. Here are some of the things we've done to say goodbye to Pittsburgh.

One Sunday we spent the evening strolling through Frick Park. It's one of 2 parks that we spent a lot of time in.

Once my finals were over Brian and I packed up and headed out for a spontaneous camping trip! We decided to camp in Ohiopyle, once of our favorite camping spots.

The campsite sold firewood, but it was cash only cause it's just on the honor system. Since we are from the west were people don't use cash anymore, we didn't have enough cash to pay for the firewood. So we dug through the car and found all the change we could! We found enough change with only 2 pennies to spare!! It took Brian a while to get all the change into the slot.

After researching some hikes in the area, we picked one and set off. It took us about 2 minutes to figure out that the hike we picked was really just a staircase down to a waterfall. So we snapped some pictures and headed home!

Lastly, our friends wanted to go to Kennywood with us. Kennywood is the local amusement park, which Brian and I have never visited. We felt like kids again!! Plus, we always have a good time with Jimmy and Emily

This ride was awesome. There were signs warning the passengers that they could lose hats, sunglasses, etc. So I sat on my sunglasses thinking they would be safe. I was wrong. The ride was crazy! My whole body came off the seat multiple times and I watched my sunglasses fly away. I figured they were lost forever, until someone from the back of the ride walked up with my sunglasses!! He caught them mid-ride!!! So we tried to reenact the incident for the picture.
