Christmas in Minnesota

Brian and I have been in Rochester for about 6 months now, and since we didn't know what our work schedules would be (mostly me), we planned to just stay in Rochester for Christmas. We woke up early so that I could FaceTime with my family and watch the kid open their presents.  I don't know what I would do without technology, it makes it so much easier to stay in touch with the people I love.

We decided that we wanted to start the "PJs on Christmas Eve" tradition. So we got matching Steeler's sweatpants! After opening our gifts on Christmas Eve we snuggled in to watch The Polar Express, another tradition we have.

Christmas morning!!

Finally got our Times Square replica ball - from the year that we went to NYE in Times Square!

Our ornament for this year!

Opening gifts while FaceTiming the family

Wasn't sure what Brian was doing....

Martinelli's for our Christmas dinner

My family knows me so well...candy is the way to my heart

Christmas sugar cookie decorating tradition!

We started the tradition of setting our shoes out Christmas Eve and having Santa's helper fill them with candy and gift, a tradition he picked up from Belgium.

Boxes and wrapping paper everywhere = the perfect Christmas morning
