Last Camping Trip of the Season - Frontenac State Park

The summer is rapidly coming to a close and we are still trying to get in as much fun as possible.  Our weekends are pretty packed for the next few months so we had to take the opportunity to get in one last camping trip.  This time we explored Frontenac State Park.  It sits up on bluffs right next to the Mississippi River, so we were able to see some amazing views of the river! It was cloudy and raining, but we loved it! We love any chance we can get to spend time outdoors.

One thing Minnesota does right is signs.  Every state park we have been too has
always had such a nice entrance sign

Hiking down the bluffs to the river

The only positive thing about humidity in the Midwest is all the trees!
So green, so beautiful

Love hiking with this one

Our campsite with our rock-awesome tent! We love our tent so much!

I made some fire starter cups, and they worked so great! Best DIY project ever

Brian always makes the best campfires!

Mornings are for poptarts

We also bought some off brand "Colorful Fire" packets.  They didn't work as
well, but still made our fire look awesome!
